During the last week of September, the city of Porto will become the European capital of water and innovation, hosting the 4^th European Partnership on Water Conference. Organised with the institutional support of the European Commission and of the Portuguese Republic, the EIP Water 2017 will take place on 27 and 28 September and is free to attend (registration required).
Apart from the conferences sessions, this initiative will include an exciting pitch competition, the SPLASH Innovation Stage, for startups with innovative water-related business projects. SPLASH Innovation Stage is looking for projects that have a high innovative component and that demonstrate significant impact in the water sector. InnoEnergy, the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) that addresses sustainable energy, has joined the SPLASH competition and is also awarding the project with the highest potential for energy efficiency. This means there are over €20,000 in awards and a single lucky winner can take home up to €13,000!
Additionally, Porto Water Innovation Week will include a 3-day Exhibition (27-29) with a dedicated area for startups at very reasonable prices (9 sqm booth from 45€/sqm). Exhibitors can have 20 min Tech Talks, where we provide the space (area within Exhibition, with chairs) and exhibitors invite their clients or potential clients to these sessions where they talk about their work and products/services. In addition, everyone registering for Porto Water Innovation Week can sign up for Porto WaterMatch B2B matchmaking sessions, where business people meet and greet at high speed (20 minutes).
